About Me

My photo
I'm a dog. Dog is good! I was born in 2007 on the day after Christmas, which makes me a late present... I live in Marin, California with my human daddy, Dan and human mummy, Angela. They wanted to adopt a rescue puppy and although they were pre-approved, the organization declined them at the last minute because they work (while also telling them that dogs are expensive to keep). Mummy and daddy were very sad but it all turned out for the best - we all got to rescue each other and they get to spend their hard earned money on me! I'm a lovable chap and enjoy swimming, snow, tennis balls, cuddling and having my tummy rubbed. Not necessarily in that order.

I'm Raring to Go Today!!!

Love My Bolster

It's official. No matter how you look at it, bolster beds are the best!!

You can stretch your legs....

You can curl up...

You can sit and watch the world go by in the comfort that only a memory foam bolster bed can provide..

Although there are those moments when I forget the basic principles of sleeping on one!!

Rock 'n' Roll Part 1

Mummy and daddy spend a lot of money buying me the best and latest dog toys....but the truth is that I would rather dig for rocks in the lake at the ranch!!

Entertainment is free!

Back at the Ranch

Boy, did I have fun today at the ranch! I fetched sticks out of the water again and again and again!

I also got a chance to catch up with my friends, Slick and Joey. You may recall them from some of my earlier memos. It was great to see them come running down the hill to say hello. At one point I was a little concerned that they might not stop, so I went and stood in the lake for safety.
Slick and Joey are all grown up now and they can't play with me any more. They are too big to fetch sticks or play chase. So I left them at the lake and went and chewed sticks on my own.

The Waiting Game

Sometimes I just hang out in the sun and wait for mummy and daddy to come home....

Mud Glorious Mud!

Mud baths have existed for thousands of years and can be found in high-end spas all over the world.

The most proven reason to take a mud bath is that it's relaxing. Being cocooned and buoyed up in a warm, soft mixture of mud and water simply sucks the stress out. A mud bath is claimed to improve the complexion, relieve joint and muscle pain and remove toxins from the body.

From experience, I can tell you that all of this is true!
Mud is indeed glorious and I love it!

With all of these benefits, there's no reason to wait for your next spa visit. Even if you can't afford a trip to the spa, you can still pamper yourself -- there are many ways to re-create the spa experience simply by heading to San Francisco Bay. Like I do....

Having immersed yourself in the healing waters, it is time to cover your entire body in mud. There is a technique to this application that ensures maximum and even coverage.

First you roll and rub your face and body one way....
Then you roll and rub your face and body the other way.....
Then you get out of the water and bask in the sun, allowing the mud mask to dry. This lifts out the toxins, which can then be washed away when mummy and daddy discover what you've done and rush you to the dog wash for a proper bath!

2014 Birthday Olympics

The house that we rented for daddy's birthday had a wonderful back patio with a pool and views down into the valley, with vineyards as far as I could see. The best thing about the patio though was the "swing-ball"/ What an amazing invention - a tennis ball on a string attached to a pole!!

Daddy and I had a great time recreating our very own 2014 Birthday Olympics with the swing-ball that was out on the pool patio at the house in Carmel Valley.

As you can see, I have a much better technic than daddy. I am much more athletic, leaping for every shot. Daddy, on the other hand, seems a little afraid to tackle my shots. I guess it's because he is getting older....
